A New Chapter of The House of Coffee

At the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Milano, we are continually exploring new ways to celebrate coffee through culture, creativity and craftsmanship. As part of The House of Coffee platform, we are pleased to introduce the next expression of this vision: The Apron Project.

For this chapter, we invited some of Milan’s most influential creative voices to reinterpret one of our most iconic emblems — the Starbucks apron. As the apron emerges as a defining silhouette of the Spring/Summer fashion season, this collaboration offers a refined, contemporary reimagining of a garment that has long symbolised dedication, craft and identity within our stores.

The Apron Project brings together exclusive, custom-crafted aprons designed by Francesca Ragazzi, Head of Editorial Content at Vogue Italia; Carolina Castiglioni, founder and creative director of Plan C; designer Sara Battaglia; and Galib Gassanoff. Each creator approaches the apron as a canvas, infusing it with their distinct aesthetic vision. The result is a collection that seamlessly bridges the worlds of high fashion and the meticulous artistry of coffee making at the Roastery.

These limited-edition aprons are now available for purchase at the Roastery throughout Milano Fashion Week, offering guests the opportunity to experience the project firsthand and own a piece of this unique creative collaboration.

At its core, this initiative carries a meaningful philanthropic purpose. All proceeds from the apron collection will be donated to charitable organisations personally selected by the designers themselves. These choices reflect thoughtful intention, ensuring that each contribution is aligned with their individual values and commitments.

Through The House of Coffee, The Apron Project and our expanding cultural collaborations, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Milano continues to act as a connector — linking global culture with local artisanship, established innovators with emerging talent, and the realm of fashion with the daily rituals that define today’s world. Coffee remains our foundation, yet the stories that surround it grow ever richer, more layered and more resonant with each new chapter we create.
