Coffee, and coffee flavour, is complex, but it is not complicated. With this workshop Dale Harris introduces some of the mechanisms and terminology that define coffee flavour chemistry, and how it is perceived through taste and smell and then described. You will gain a greater understanding of connections between flavour creating steps at the farm, in their brewing processes, and how they relate to the flavours they experience.

(Event in Italian) Authors Ciarlantini and Malvasi will present their latest book Barista Sapiens, in a dialogue with journalist Marco Biscella. Barista Sapiens is an indispensable and comprehensive compendium that guides the aspiring barista, as well as the coffee enthusiast, in refining the techniques of espresso and cappuccino. During the event they will take us through a tasting of the Starbucks Reserve Milano Microblend, putting some of the book's lessons into practice right away.

On International Coffee Day, the Milano Roastery celebrates its favourite product in style with exceptional guests in the sophisticated atmosphere of the Arriviamo Bar. Daniele Ricci, runner-up at the World of Coffee 2023 in Athens, will hold a workshop during which he will recreate the drink designed for his competition by Andrea Villa. The workshop will run from 4 to 5pm, with the occasion to try the winning drink and other coffee-based cocktails afterwards.
