Enrico Crivellaro Trio
One of the very few European blues musicians to be under contract with a North American record label, Electro-Fi Records, and to tour the North American circuit, Enrico Crivellaro is considered one of the most interesting guitarists in the contemporary blues scene.
A four-star review of his CD "Mojo Zone" by the most prestigious international jazz and blues magazine, Downbeat Magazine, highlights "his stellar technique, hypnotic feel, and incredible colors of emotional delicacy." At once refined and explosive, Enrico's guitar playing has been heard at major festivals on six continents, and seen on stage and touring with a phenomenal assortment of musicians, including such legends as Jeff Healey and Lee Oskar of "War."
His trio features Pietro Taucher on Hammond organ, who was for years in the band of Detroit singer Sharrie Williams, participating in many of the world's most prestigious festivals-including the Chicago Blues Festival-and appearing on her CD "I'm Here To Stay" for Electro-Fi Records. As fate would have it, Pietro and Enrico, who grew up playing together, found themselves several years down the road recording for the same label in North America-a big leap for two musicians who started out in Padua.
Rounding out the lineup is Tuscan drummer Carmine Bloisi, well known to blues fans for having been a mainstay in the late Rudy Rotta's band for more than a decade. Those with such legends as Brian Auger, John Mayall and Peter Green stand out among his countless collaborations and appearances at the highest level.
